After today’s art critique, a keyword really stood out to me: static shape.  What makes a shape static?  Well, it’s stacked in line with others, resembling order.  Dynamic, on the other hand is more chaotic and thus conveys some motion or imbalance within the frame.  In depicting a sound, choosing between a static portrayal and a dynamic portrayal is important.  A static noise, to me, is one that is rigid like a drum in perfect beat at the same volume.  A dynamic noise to me is one that changes pitch, tempo, and volume.

In my work, I am looking to spruce shapes and forms in a more dynamic sense to convey a sound better.
